Application Information
| Applications accepted | Schedule a visit to the school to tour the campus and observe in the classrooms. (we recommend that parents visit without the applicant if the applicant is applying to the preschool or kindergarten program.) a small photograph of the applicant is also requested |
| Application Information | $50 |
| Acceptance criteria: | A developmental readiness test may be given to preschool and kindergarten candidates. First Round Decisions: In order for an applicant to be eligible for first-round consideration, the application must be received and all other requirements completed by the end of January. (After this time, all applications received will be held and processed as part of our second-round considerations on a rolling basis as space permits in each class.) Wait Status: When no space is available in a grade, a non-ranked waiting list is formed. The waiting list is composed of admissible students. As space is available the Admissions Committee will select from the list the most appropriate candidate for that particular opening. The choice is made based on the qualities of the candidate and the nature of the specific class, with the goal of providing the best educational experience both for the individual student and for the class as a whole. Additional Considerations: Special consideration for acceptance is given to (not in ranked order): siblings of students currently attending the School, children of alumni and faculty, and previously qualified applicants on the Waiting List. Burlington Day School does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs |
