Applications accepted It is helpful if parents call the school office (703-759-2522) to schedule an appointment. children must have reached their classes' age by september 30th of the school year. (children in the 21/2-year-old class must have turned 21/2 to begin school, according to county regulations.) children must have reached developmental maturity to the extent that they can emotionally handle the anxiety of separating from their parents. children are required to be toilet-trained, except for children entering the 21/2-year-old class. parents/guardian will receive at least one week written notice when possible. the commonwealth of virginia requires all persons enrolling a child to provide information on all previous programs and schools attended by the child. parents must provide proof of child's identity and age. this proof of identity may include a certified copy of the child's birth certificate, notification of birth (hospital, physician, or midwife), registration card, or passport.

Acceptance criteria: The Creche accepts children irrespective of race, creed, religion, marital status of parents, sex, or ethnic or national origin. A diverse environment enriches the learning experience of children by providing exposure to unique cultures and backgrounds. Placement in the five-day 41/2/5-year-old class is determined by age, with the oldest children being given preference. Applications will be chosen by lottery. To ensure fair and equal processing, registrations are accepted in the following order: � Children who are registered in the school and their siblings. � Children whose parents are communicant members in good standing* at the start of the registration period of St. Francis Episcopal Church. � Siblings of children who previously attended the Creche. � Children who have been previously waitlisted. � All remaining applicants eligible for the enrollment * All communicants of St. Francis Episcopal Church who for the previous year have been faithful in corporate worship, unless for good cause prevented, and have been faithful in working, praying, and giving for the spread of the Kingdom of God, are to be considered communicants in good standing. There may be a need to create a waiting list when spaces are not available. If spaces become available, children are enrolled in waiting-list order

Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
