Parents' Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parent #1
The teachers are so grounded, knowledgeable, experienced, calm, and generous. They give the kids time, and space, and then at just the right moments, they just sort of appear and with this amazing grace and ease, they nudge children forward, and help kids learn to navigate through their own individual challenges. Dandelion's kids aren't being ''taught'' and instructed from the outside. (As an educator, I can tell you, there will be more than enough of that to come.) I believe our children are being given what all kids need more of: the space to discover and develop their own sense of self, and their own interests.
Parent #2
Both or my child's teachers are fantastic! Their many years of classroom experience at the Dandelion school shows in the easy way they deal with each of the children. Also the teachers are experts at guiding the 4 parents who participate each morning in keeping the school a great place to learn. I have learned so much as a parent from being in the classroom and participating on a regular basis with my kid.
Parent #3
The teachers are the heart and soul of the school. They are different and complement each other nicely.
Parent #4
Our teachers are excellent and committed!
Parent #5
The Dandelion teachers, both of whom have been there for over 20 years, are absolutely the best I have ever met. The depth and breadth of their knowledge of child development is amazing and their skills in working with children have made me a better parent simply by observing them. I have never seen them anything but kind, supportive, and genuine in relating to the kids and their families. I feel blessed to know them.
Parent #6
Both teachers at this school are well-matched to each other and the goals of the school overall. They are unfailingly kind and just with their charges, encouraging each of the children to develop their own methods for resolving problems and maintaining friendships.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Make sand at home! Half the fun is creating, and half is playing with the material. Mix all listed ingredients together in a plastic bin, and then give your child small containers, shovels, funnels so that they can dump and fill. Toy cars and bulldozers are also a lot of fun.
