Parents' Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parent #1
The teachers were very strong in my daughters preschool class. Her class was particularly large (larger than usual I think -- I think they were expanding that year) and they handled the sometimes rowdy kids with very firm AND loving hands. I was very impressed. My daughter still sighs when we pass the school, she felt very connected even being there for just one year.

The full name of the school is Alphonsus Academy of the Arts. There is a full arts program--dance, music and art--as well as a Spanish program. We love the arts aspect of the school, and I think most of the children do, too. We have had two wonderful teachers so far, and we are very impressed by the community of parents at the school. This school may keep us in the city--we'd always thought we might move to the suburbs.

I love our school and so does my son. You get the best of both worlds at St. Al's...a small town feel (everyone knows one another and watches each others kids)but with the culture of the city.

AACA Art teacher and music teacher are very well known through out the Chicagoland area. AACA is very fortunate to have them at our school.

The teachers seem to be very uninterested and go through all of the motions. Unfortunately unless you are volunteering in the classroom you cannot see the effect that this has on the students, coupled with the lack of supervision at times. Again, a big disappointment.
