Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching

Description of how teachers work with children who are  "behind," "excelling" or "different" from the majority of students

Each child and family at Narnia is celebrated and respected for who they are. Every child has unique talents and gifts, interests and proclivities, the staff tries to teach to the individual child. If special needs arise, we work closely with the family to design activities and approaches to learning which best suite the child. We are flexible and creative in our teaching style and look for staff that have these qualities.

Parents' Comments on Individualized Teaching

Parent #1
Narnia had great music classes two or three mornings a week and had painting or other art projects daily. Teachers encouraged imaginative play, dress-up, and individual quiet activities. The school also had a lot of space to run around, climb, and play and a big sandbox (I think it is still there). The teachers were unfailingly calm and patient and also a lot of fun! My son never wanted to leave.
