Parents' Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parent #1
The lead teacher in my son's class is wonderful. He is in the 2 year old class so she provides age appropriate activities for them. She gets on the floor for circle time, reads books and sings interactive songs. The teacher's aid in his class is even more affectionate to my son. She is very loving and is even trying to teach him Spanish, even though it is not in their regular curriculum. I moved my child from a play pre-school last year to a more educational pre-school this year. It was more of a transition for me than for my son. I was used to him being coddled and 'loved on' every day. When he moved to a more educational school I had to change my expectations, however this school made the transition as easy as it could be. They put my son in a class where the teacher was more affectionate and touchy feely because I think they thought I needed it more than he did. I highly recommend CCDC!

There are many 'specials' at this school that set it apart from others. Music, Fun and Fitness, Computer Lab, and Spanish are available to all children 2 and older. Science is offered 3's once a month and to 4's once a week. Library is also offered to 4's once a week. Each 'specials' teacher is highly qualified for the class they teach.

Being Savvy Today
The Wild Tangle of Grasses
If there was a single photo that could capture my feelings and thoughts about the past year, this would be it. It reminds me to keep looking toward the brightness of the light, even if I am caught in the wild tangle of grasses. This shot reminds me that

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
