Description of how teachers work with children who are
"behind," "excelling" or "different" from the majority of students
We believe in providing a meaningful learning experience for each individual. We assess children's development, and based on areas of need, make adjustments or additions to our curriculum. In some circumstances we also work with the families to bring in help from someone with more specialized training in a particular area.

The CDC offers both music, P.E., and spanish as part of their curriculum. The teachers are dedicated and very loving and kind! We have yet to have a bad experience with a teacher.

I appreciate my child's opportunity to participate in a PE class and a spanish class. My child speaks of these classes often and seems to really enjoy the variety.

I feel that one teacher was too restrictive and militaristic. Creativity and self-expression were not encouraged. Special needs kids were ostracized.

A Season of Rituals
Darkest December is upon us, and we are all preparing, in our different ways, to light it up with rituals. Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year's. Parties, tree lightings, and holiday cards. Visits with family. Feasts, gifts, and candles.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Get large plastic buckets (or sand buckets if you have lots of really little toys )in a variety of solid colors (red, blue, yellow, green, pink). Ask your child to clean up his/her toys by putting the toys in the bucket corresponding to the color bucket. Great for teaching personal responsibility, color identification, and sorting.
