Director's Comments on Individualized Teaching
Description of how teachers work with children who are
"behind," "excelling" or "different" from the majority of students
Teachers are able to work with students in center activities to provide enrichment or assistance to children.
Parents' Comments on Individualized Teaching
Parent #1
The children have one main teacher and there is usually an aid that helps as well. The children spend the majority of their time with these people, but are also exposed to music, Spanish, and chapel with other teachers. The director is also very hands on in working with the kids as well. It is a very positive environment.
Parent #2
Bethany's CDC provides the students with supplemental chapel services, Spanish lessons, and a storytime instructor. What I like most about the school is the small classes (the teacher/child ratio is great!)
Parent #3
The chapel program is the same thing as their music program. The children don't actually go to a chapel, just the music room. They learn a Bible story and sing a song. The music program does not include instruments for the kids to play (tambourine, xylophone, drums, sticks to tap, etc.) But the songs do include hand motions that the kids learn.
Parent #4
The teachers are stressed to work on curriculum and structure with the children, not necessarily have a good rapport with them or treat them nicely.

Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
