School Philosophy and Mission

"Our philosophy of early education involves the total child and the meeting of his or her individual needs. We believe in the developmental approach to educating the child. This approach meets the child's spiritual, emotional, social, cognitive and physical needs. The developmental approach is based on the assumption that a child's growth is sequential in nature and an orderly process. This process states that children pass through stages of development which occur in sequences in their spiritual, physical, emotional, social and cognitive growth.
Our goal is to provide opportunities for each child to move about and act on his or her environment. We provide an environment in which the child develops to his or her full potential. In this explorative environment we will allow a child to grow to this potential by recognizing each stage in the developmental processes. The curriculum at our preschool is geared to nurture and facilitate growth during each state of development.

Learning and growing goes on all the time. Therefore, it is necessary for the parent to be involved with the children in these processes within the classroom environment. We feel our program of daily parental involvement with the children will aid both parents and child in understanding the development processes and enjoying seeing these processes develop in their child.

Teach the skills necessary for successful, purposeful, and useful living"
