School Philosophy and Mission
"It is our goal at Seminole United Methodist Child Care Center to help children develop socially, emotionally, physically, cognitively and spiritually through active
participation and play. The staff works together as a team to provide a warm and loving atmosphere for children and their families. Our Christian environment
is set up to help children grow and develop through active participation and play. We enjoy children and promote experiences that will enrich their lives and
help them feel successful. The school atmosphere is designed to be relaxed, informal, accepting, positive and a fun place. Learning centers set up in each
room will help children learn through sensory experiences, exploration, manipulation, observation and imitative play. Our programs based on
developmentally appropriate activities for each age group. Our staff members use positive discipline techniques based on Christian Love. They praise
children's good efforts and accomplishments."

What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
