School Philosophy and Mission
"In order for learning to occur, children must feel secure in their environment. Therefore, our first interactions with your child will be to establish comfort and trust.
Because each child is a unique young person, individual attention from caregivers and individual choices by children are key approaches in our work. Positive interactions are our most powerful tool. At all times we need to model the behavior that we expect.
Through play, movement, music, books, discussion and activities we will develop a loving and caring relationship with young children that maximizes their individual strengths and talents.
Our multi-aged program enables children to feel part of one big family that helps every one of its members to grow and experience success.
Our ability to change reaches its apex in the first decade of life, particularly in the first three years. If we act early and intensively we can increase children's resilience, diminish risk, bolster self-esteem and teach pro-social behaviors.

Being Savvy Today
The Wild Tangle of Grasses
If there was a single photo that could capture my feelings and thoughts about the past year, this would be it. It reminds me to keep looking toward the brightness of the light, even if I am caught in the wild tangle of grasses. This shot reminds me that
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
