School Philosophy and Mission
"The mission of the Ralph Bunche Head Start/Pre-K Center is to provide children with
an environment that is conducive to learning by encouraging curiosity, exploration, problem
solving, self-expression, and to assist children in developing a positive self-image. Through
exposure to and experience of hands-on and developmentally appropriate activities, children
are allowed to develop socially, emotionally, intellectually, and physically at their own pace.
By successfully implementing the "High Scope" curriculum, this staff will provide our
children readiness skills to enable them to have school success when they begin kindergarten"
