School Philosophy and Mission
"Our pre-school program is based on the concept that children remember 90% of what they do, but only 10% of what they hear. That is the reason why our pre-school program provides many concrete "hands-on" learning activities which nurture children to learn through discovery and exploration. It is our philosophy that teachers integrate their work and constantly adapt their skills by always thinking of the development of the whole child and not just one aspect of their development.
Your child's family is also an important part of our program. Parents and teachers must keep each other informed of developments in the child's life. Your child's day does not end or begin when they arrive or leave the center. Continuous communication between parent and teacher is vitally important for the well-rounded growth of each child.
We feel that children need teachers/caregivers that are patient, warm, and friendly. Children need a consistent day full of age appropriate activities. Daily reports on activities and other topics o importance can also let the parents know what exactly happened for that particular day. A good teacher will guide the children in making good decisions personally and socially. Behavior that is unacceptable is not "misbehavior" but rather "mistaken" behavior. The teacher should always implement positive guidance and redirection as the child develops.
