School Philosophy and Mission
"Our mission is to provide a learning environment that encourages and challenges each child to be all he or she can be aesthetically, emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially, thereby fostering the high level of self-esteem needed for a happy and rewarding future
Our School philosophy promotes the use of non-punitive types of discipline. At the same time, we do not condone misbehavior. Our School program encourages an environment for children to learn to develop their emotional and social skills in addition to other skills. Our School offers activities that give children many opportunities to learn at their own pace and in their own way. A more structured, closed learning environment is easier to control, but does not lead to the opportunities needed for steady growth in areas of social and emotional development. This means that our staff gives children assistance when they have difficulty in their interactions with others, just as they would if the child was having difficulty in an academic area.
Small class sizes enable the Clare Cherry staff to provide an encouraging and challenging learning environment which enables each child to develop emotionally, intellectually, physically and socially. Our loving Clare Cherry staff fosters a high level of self-esteem in each child
