"The nursery school program supports the development of the child through an early educational experience based on play. Interest centers are established in the classrooms to encourage children¹s learning through investigation, exploration and problem solving. The child¹s curiosity, creativity, confidence and initiative are encouraged and supported in an atmosphere of warmth and respect for the individual child.

Social and emotional development are promoted through the relationship with teachers and through the opportunity to be a contributing member of a group that plans, problem solves and enjoys joint experiences. Children are encouraged to work in small groups, exchanging ideas and information and negotiating conflicts. The opportunity to work independently is also available.

Physical coordination and motor development are encouraged through participation in gym and outdoor activities and in manipulation of classroom materials.

Parents are assisted in understanding their child¹s development through parent education programs and parent teacher conferences.
