"To meet each child's physical needs while encouraging independence in self care.
To provide a nurturing atmosphere in which the children have respect for others and respect for themselves.
To provide a calm, warm, loving and nurturing atmosphere for the child to feel secure in.
To continue and the respect and care for equipment that is so much a part of the Montessori method.
To offer a wide variety of activities within the Montessori curriculum including: practical life, sensorial, language, math, Introduction to the Community, art, music and movement, science (biology, physics), dramatic play. Encouraging cooperative play.
To encourage curiosity within each child giving them room to discover and explore things, in return gaining independence.
To provide ample opportunity for the use of large motor skills for indoor and outdoor activity.
To establish an observation system in which notes on children are kept on a daily basis.
To be supportive of parents encouraging involvement, encouraging open and honest communication while using tact and discretion.
To develop staff potential through proper supervision by making expectations clear, following through to see that expectations are met, and utilizing staff input and their abilities.
To encourage staff to be aware of the room and surroundings so we can make a safe environment for our children.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
