School Philosophy and Mission
"With this scripture in mind, the education of a student in a Christian school should include Biblical principles integrated throughout all areas. In academics, there is not a subject that does not have the touch of the Creator, consequently, all can be taught from a Biblical perspective. Morality principles can be incorporated in daily teaching output and class discussion. In the area of discipline, accountability before God and authority should be the basis. This area of discipline is a teaching tool to be soundly used by all who are involved in the lives of students. Every opportunity should be used to apply sound Biblical principles to the consequences of the action without having to be obvious. The principle of sowing and reaping is the backbone of this type of discipline. In the area of sports the Biblical principles of Paul's teaching concerning keeping the body under and finishing the course should be the underlying focus. In student activities, the desire to serve others with joy should be instilled. This is accomplished as much by example in the faculty as it is in instruction. In the area of counseling which should include one on one, as well as group and class discussion, the conversations should be centered around those truths in the Bible which correspond to practical application in the areas of spiritual life, church, home and community involvement. It should also be applied in areas of guidance in choosing careers, relationships and decision-making skills.
In essence, the secret of success of a Bible Baptist student should consist of the idea of the total student in a combination of spiritual, intellectual and physical attributes. It should embody personality and performance. The secret of this success is found in a plan which existed in the mind of God in eternity. Our success relies on the fact that there is a purpose for each life and that Bible Baptist School has a part in directing that life."
