School Philosophy and Mission
"The purpose of a vision statement is to guide and inspire the organization to achieve beyond its current capabilities.
A vision statement must answer these basic questions:
\"Why do we exist?\"
\"What values do we hold?\" and
\"What do we want to become?\"
At First Presbyterian Day School we exist for the purpose of “educating and equipping children to change the world for God's glory.\" We pursue this purpose while holding fast a set of core values that we will not compromise. These values include seeking to Glorify God in everything we do and say, teaching a Biblical World Life View, Supporting Families, pursuing Excellence, maintaining Integrity and a continual commitment to Advancing God's Kingdom in all of our pursuits.
While our purpose and values never change, we will continue to evaluate and modify our methods and processes as we pursue our vision. Our desire is to become the most respected Christian college preparatory school in America. Yes, it is a very bold goal, but we believe we can achieve it. Its pursuit demands that we continually improve everything we do. Please join us on our journey to educate and equip children to change the world for God's glory.

Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
