School Philosophy and Mission
"East Woods School seeks to instill in each student a lifelong love of learning and an appreciation of self-worth. In an intimate Nursery through Ninth Grade setting enhanced by a low student/teacher ratio, a supportive and caring faculty encourages each student to meet challenges and to pursue personal excellence in all endeavors. Academic, creative and physical activities are designed to broaden children's understanding of everyday life and to prepare them for the future. The development of respect for all people and the world we share is intrinsic to the curriculum at all levels.
East Woods encourages each student to meet or surpass academic and behavioral expectations defined by the faculty. Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
