School Philosophy and Mission
"St. Mary's fosters the pursuit of excellence and the joy of learning in a caring and supportive community. Our high-quality academic program is based upon traditional values and encourages life-long learning. We promote an accelerated standards-based curriculum and provide rigorous challenges in an atmosphere of differentiated learning and instruction.
Our diverse curricula of in-depth studies include: Language Arts/English, Mathematics, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Earth, Life, Physical and Integrated Science, Social Studies/History, Geography, Christian Studies, Spanish, French, Physical Education, Health, Art, Music, Computers, Library Skills, and a rich variety of elective opportunities at the Middle School level including Desktop Publishing and STAR (Students Teaching as Assistant Resources).
We provide a safe and secure environment in which to introduce each child into a school setting. Our Preschool and Junior Kindergarten programs concentrate on building social, emotional, physical, cognitive and spiritual growth of students. Through a combined academic and developmental curriculum, we provide a nurturing environment in which children learn and develop a sense of community and belonging. Preschool students actively participate in music, Spanish and art classes, while learning to become confident with social interaction.
Our Preschool teachers at St. Mary's have Early Childhood Education training and follow an inquiry-based approach to instruction. The Preschool holds dual accreditation with the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
