School Philosophy and Mission
"The goals of our educational program are to enable our students to discover truth, develop a Christ-like character and a personal relationship with God.
We believe that God has entrusted the training and education of children to their parents. As a school, we see ourselves as an extension of the home to serve as an aid in the training of children. Entrusted with this responsibility, we believe that it is our sacred duty to help prepare children to meet the challenges of this life while instilling in them the knowledge that can lead to eternal life with God.
We believe that God is the source of all truth, so we will look to Him in the selection of curriculum and methodologies. Academic subjects will be measured against the eternal truth of God's Word. Knowledge discovered by human inquiry will be integrated with the knowledge revealed by God in His written Word. Instruction in the Old and New Testament scriptures will be an integral part of the educational process.
We believe that our teaching must imitate the teaching demonstrated by Jesus Christ, as revealed in the New Testament. Teaching will be marked by compassion, dignity, authority, and a deep respect for the Word of God. It will be done with an understanding of the maturity and ability of the child and in a manner most effectively comprehended. Methods of instruction will include those used by Jesus, the prophets, and disciples, which included the use of parables, real-life experiences, direct, and hands-on instruction. Just as the life of Jesus served to reveal the nature of the Father to his disciples, so will the life and example of the teacher serve to reveal the nature of Jesus and the Father to the students"
