School Philosophy and Mission
"It is the philosophy of Our Savior Lutheran Day Care that early childhood should be a time of fun, warmth, security, exploring, discovery, and experiencing the love of Jesus Christ each hour of every day.
Our school joins the home and church to give the child the most satisfying experience possible. The school's purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages religious, social, emotional, physical and intellectual growth and development of the child as a whole. We want to provide our Day Care children with a warm and loving environment such as you would provide full-time in your home if circumstances permitted.
Planned within the framework of our philosophy and purposes, our school's curriculum includes religious training; language arts and math centers with exposure to letters, numbers, shapes, colors, stories, songs and finger plays; music, creative art activities and crafts; community and home awareness, games and large muscle activities.
Our Savior Lutheran School wants to provide "Day Care with a difference." The difference is that your child will experience the love of Jesus Christ as shown to them by our Christian staff. We think you will come to feel the "difference" in our center.
Our Savior Lutheran Day Care, established in 1983, is licensed by the State of California Department of Social Services, and complies with all of the standards put forth by that department. Its operation is governed by the Board of Education of Our Savior Lutheran Church which is a member of the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, California-Nevada-Hawaii district.
"Our Savior Lutheran Day Care/Preschool admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs.""

Being Savvy Today
Joy Through a Child's Eyes
It was a cold and soggy day at the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo. Cold, that is, for March day here in Austin. Of all the sights to see, my son spent most of our visit at the petting zoo. He picked
