School Philosophy and Mission
"Raising children in the 21st century presents remarkable challenges. At Maimonides Academy, the priority of our teaching and administrative body is the continual monitoring of each child's progress and the development of open communication between parents, teachers and staff. Maimonides Academy believes in the timeless wisdom of Solomon: "to educate each child according to his way" and enable the array of talent and intelligence bequeathed to each child to emerge and flourish, and for each child to excel according to "his way." More important than teach…we reach.
Because we believe there must be a consistent and personal interaction between teacher and child, classes are limited to 17 students in the Lower School and 20 students in the Middle School. Smaller classes also offer the teachers more opportunity to tailor each child's program to his or her specific needs."

Being Savvy Today
On My Own
We met up with my father for a weekend in Grayton Beach, Florida . It was too short as the girls don't see nearly enough of their grandparents, but we packed it full of fun. We spent our last day on the beach

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
