7:30-8:45
Inside Activity Time
Your child is free to choose from the prepared environment, watch a selected video or enter the book corner for a quiet activity of looking at a selected array of children's books.
8:45-9:30
Outside Playtime
Children are free to play outside as children arrive for the morning session.
9:30-9:45
Snack Time
A prepared snack is served outside on the benches, while the teacher reads a story.
9:45-10:00
First Circle
Introduce the theme, demonstrate new work job(s), stress child participation.
10:00-10:45
Free Choice Activity Time
Children are free to choose from the prepared environment. An art activity and a playdough table are available in the art room. Ground rules are stressed for the safety and well-being of each child. Promotes reading and writing readiness skills. (view a short video of free choice activity time)
10:45-11:00
Second Circle
Includes puppets, flannel board stories, movement, music, calendar, days of the week, months of the year and the alphabet chart. (view a short video of our music activities)
11:00-11:30
Outside Playtime

Lunch Time
Children bring a prepared lunch from home, but microwaves are provided if needed. This activity also builds social skills, manners and independence.
12:00-12:30
Noon Time
Outside time for the morning students and the older nappers. The younger nappers are settled first to their cots after lunch as selected classical music permeates the background.
12:30-2:00
Nap Time
A sleeping cot and space are available for all full-time children as required by law. Two blankets and a pillow come from home and are taken home for washing weekly. Note: no child is forced to nap, but needs to rest for at least one hour.
2:00-3:00
Free Choice
As the children get up from nap they are able to choose work, look at books, playdough, or art.
3:00-4:10
Outside Time
A nutritious snack is served before the children play.
4:10-4:45
Creative Active Circle
Musical instruments, big books, cassette stories, library books, and group participation promote reading and listening skills.
4:45-5:30
Quiet Time
Again the child is free to choose from the prepared environment, watch selected educational videos or look at books.

The Wild Tangle of Grasses
If there was a single photo that could capture my feelings and thoughts about the past year, this would be it. It reminds me to keep looking toward the brightness of the light, even if I am caught in the wild tangle of grasses. This shot reminds me that

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
