School Philosophy and Mission

"Calvary Preschool offers the uniqueness of a drop-in, part-time, or full-time program for toddler through preschool-aged children. Our location allows us to take regular walking trips to the library, Louden Nelson park and playground, the fire station, the city government buildings, and local stores.
We teach about the earth resources by recycling, planting a year-round garden, and maintaining an aquarium. Topics in music, art, math, and science are offered daily. Our day also includes three circle times with children grouped according to interest, cognitive, and developmental ability.
We have three spacious outside play areas, and all our play equipment is approved for health and safety. The children at Calvary Preschool develop self-confidence from friendships, sharing, taking turns, expressing their feelings, and just having fun!
For more than 10 years, the Calvary Preschool has offered free emergency child care to families in crisis and need. Our center is the only one in our community that offers this service.
On each major holiday our center helps our needy families with donations of food and toys. Church members have adopted our families and have provided them with complete meals and gifts. We have food and diapers on hand at all times for families in need. Calvary Church and the preschool work hand-in-hand to help our community."
