School Philosophy and Mission
"Faith Lutheran Preschool began as a ministry of Faith Lutheran Church in response to Jesus' Great Commission, 'Go.therefore and spread the Gospel.'
Faith's staff has a knowledge of God's love and His plan for His people. They also know His love for each child and share that love with each child through actions and by examples. Faith recognizes that each child comes with unique and individual needs and back grounds. We believe children can learn best through active play experience in settings that are specifically designed to facilitate that learning. The staff has an understanding and knowledge of children's development. They use that knowledge and understanding to develop the best possible intellectual and effective program for each child.
While parents are a child's first and most important teachers, we offer a broader learning experience. A child's home life should play the primary role in the task of nurturing, so we encourage the parents' support and help in keeping open communication between school and home because we want to support and protect that primary relationship.
We purpose to minister to the whole child -- physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual -- with a program built on knowledge and belief in God's saving love. We will provide experiences in many areas -- free play, devotion time, stories, snacks, art, outside play, music, age appropriate toys and materials, etc. -- to aid in acquiring the skills necessary for forming relationships and attitudes, learning right from wrong, preparing for Kindergarten, and to aid in instilling an appreciation for the varied wonders of God's creation.
We believe that instilling in each child a desire to learn, giving him a positive self concept, and teaching him about his Lord's plan for him will help the child on his/her road to a better life.

Being Savvy Today
Joy Through a Child's Eyes
It was a cold and soggy day at the Star of Texas Fair & Rodeo. Cold, that is, for March day here in Austin. Of all the sights to see, my son spent most of our visit at the petting zoo. He picked out his
