School Philosophy and Mission

"Encouraging each child's natural abilities, talents and zest for learning in a caring Montessori environment is our goal. Through our outstanding Montessori programs, students develop their full potential as caring, self-confident members and future leaders of society. At AMA, each student is challenged to fulfill their own unique talents and interests.

Montessori is named after the great Italian educator, Dr. Maria Montessori, who created this revolutionary approach to teaching children. Dr. Montessori developed learning materials and a teaching environment that nurtures each child's needs, while also maintaining social interaction with his/her peers. Through the use of hands on materials, children learn critical thinking skills as the manipulative allow each child to analyze, reason, and process information in an orderly fashion.
