School Philosophy and Mission
Our goal is to surround children with a safe, nurturing environment, to enhance and stimulated the development of the child's mind, body, and spirit. Our methods are centered on that goal, and our knowledge that children learn through concrete experiences and active manipulation of the environment.
Developmentally appropriate activities and materials provide an opportunity for the child's growth and participation in decision making, development of self esteem, and the establishment of values. One of the primary aims of our early childhood program is to broaden the child's social, cognitive, and physical understanding of the world around them. Such understanding includes cooperative play and work, sharing, taking turns, and kindness. Our task is to provide children with tools such as problem solving skills to successfully participate in each activity. We place an emphasis on spiritual, physical, intellectual and emotional development.
