School Philosophy and Mission
"Our faith calls us to do all we undertake, including learning, wholeheartedly and with all our might, as an act of worship to God. At Wilberforce we place a high value on excellence and effort, with special emphasis on the following:
v Teachers -- Attracting and training gifted teachers and holding them accountable to the highest standards of teaching and character.
v Students -- Inculcating exceptional habits of study. Challenging students to use and develop their God-given gifts to their highest potential to the glory of God alone and in humble service to others.
v Curricula and teaching materials -- Using classic works and more recent materials, we will put the best teaching tools in the hands of our teachers.
v Academic pace -- Offering a curriculum which is generally at least one grade level ahead and so providing a challenging pace for most students.
Our desire is to see God at work in our school, drawing students' hearts to love Christ and shaping their minds to be active, vigorous, and informed by biblical truth.

Being Savvy Today
The Whole Wide World
It's a very big world out there , but sometimes life with small children can make the world feel as though it has shrunk down to the size of your own house and neighborhood . Small children are naturally most interested in what they can lay their bright eyes
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
