School Philosophy and Mission
Purpose
The Brentwood Christian School's "Children's Ark" program is an extension of the Christian education program for children at the Brentwood Oaks Church of Christ. Children's Ark is neither a babysitting service nor an academic school. The program's purpose is to provide a loving Christian atmosphere where children may grow and Children's Ark develop through a variety of enrichment and readiness experiences. The preschool curriculum is designed to provide children with all the necessary skills needed for kindergarten.
Philosophy
Children learn through life experiences. The Children's Ark program's charge is to offer children experiences that will help them grow in their knowledge of God, themselves, and their world.
Goals
The goals of the Children's Ark program are:
* To teach children about God and His love for them
* To provide an atmosphere characterized by love, warmth, and caring
* To encourage a positive self-image in children
* To teach children to be responsible for their behavior
* To develop group skills - cooperation, communication, and sharing

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
