School Philosophy and Mission
"WE BELIEVE the early childhood years are a unique stage in the development of your child and require individualized attention. Because of this, we have designed a center that is small and intimate, a center in which the Executive Director has the ability to monitor and be personally involved in the development of each and ever child.
WE BELIEVE that a Child Development Center should strive for excellence. The National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) is considered the preeminent organization for the development of standards and programs for the education of young children. Our programs have been designed with these standards in mind and we meet or exceed NAEYC standards in our curriculum, equipment and facilities.
WE BELIEVE that in order to provide an extraordinary program, we need to hire, train, and maintain an extraordinary staff. Our staff includes an Executive Director, who does not double as a teacher, but rather oversees the operation of the facility, and the development goals of the students. Each and every classroom is staffed by a lead teacher who holds a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Education or has obtained the professional designation of “Child Development Associate”. These professionals are aided by Assistant Teachers or a Co-lead Teacher who either have comparable credentials or are in the process of completing their studies leading to a degree or certification. Our staff members are encouraged to continue their education through center sponsored seminars as well as professional or college-based training.
