School Philosophy and Mission
At Tikes and Tots our vision is to promote the healthy growth and development of children and provide high quality, developmentally appropriate care. We strive to provide the children with a safe learning environment that will encourage creativity, and inspire a love for learning. We believe in a â??hands onâ?? learning approach and encourage each child to develop their critical thinking and cognitive skills in figuring out solutions to everyday problems. We encourage a positive view of ones self and of others so the children may learn to appreciate and celebrate the differences in other people. Our desire is that the children develop good character, will be life long learners, to develop confidence and self-esteem so they may realize their true potential and never be afraid to try new things.
â??Education is helping the child realize his potentialities.â??

Being Savvy Today
The Wild Tangle of Grasses
If there was a single photo that could capture my feelings and thoughts about the past year, this would be it. It reminds me to keep looking toward the brightness of the light, even if I am caught in the wild tangle of grasses. This shot reminds me that

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
