"At Markman our goal is to offer an educational program which provides opportunities to
enhance your child's growth and development in a safe and nurturing environment. Oppor-
tunities to develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively are provided in a loving,
supportive environment rich in experiences and human interaction. Children are valued as
individuals who are unique in their personalities, interests, and learning styles, and who
have individual time tables for growth. Our program believes that play is the foundation
for learning, and our environments are carefully planned to promote exploring, creating,
and “doing�. Although structure is provided, emphasis is on freedom of choice, independ-
ence, and problem solving."
