School Philosophy and Mission
The Westwood United Methodist Preschool opened in 1988. It is the philosophy of the school to foster independence of thought, personal worth and responsibility, and a spirit of mutual helpfulness. In keeping with our developmental philosophy, classes and groups are kept small enough so that children can be taught in accordance with their needs and abilities while learning to function effectively and responsibly within a group. All of this is supported by a close and open relationship with parents based on mutual interest in their child. The school welcomes all children regardless of ethnic background, nationality or religion.
