There were not a lot of siblings entering when my daughter started...Also, I toured the school early, in late September. Lastly, I was willing to start with only 2 or 3 days. This may not be an acceptable option for working parents.

I really looked carefully at many schools and became very clear on the philosophy I thought best matched our family's ideas about development and education.
I think letting the school know why you truly want to go there rather than playing a numbers game makes a difference. I was also certain that I could do the work of a co-op and could fit in working with a group. I believe the whole thing is finding the right match for your child and family.

The school functions as a cooperative, so exhibiting a comfort level and awareness of cooperative enterprises is a good harbinger of future success. Be prepared to commit time and effort to ensuring the school's continued success and your child's as well!

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
