They choose a wide diverse group with no methodology except to represent the outside world culture and diversity as closely as possible.

One parent works at Mills, and we knew so many good things about the pre-school that I would have been reluctant to consider any place else, but would probably have chosen another school based mostly on geography (closer to home in Alameda). We feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity for both kids to be at Mills and have one parent easily accessible.

Preference goes to students, faculty and staff. Otherwise, children are selected to provide a diverse and gender-balanced classroom. It remains very difficult to get in, due to the limited number of spaces. Apply and reapply, don't give up!

I was a student at Mills College, which facilitated a little bit admission of my child to the school, but I had to enroll my child when I was pregnant, and I waited 2 semester before she was admitted.

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
