Advice from Parents to Prospective Parents on Admissions

Parent #1
I do not think that we did anything special. The admissions process seemed very fair.

Parent #2
My child was one of the older children in the Pre-K so had some skills acquired like holding his pen, knowing his colors and numbers and being able to sit still which I think helped during screening.

Parent #3
It always helps at FAIS to have international experience of some sort. A second language is good but not necessary.

Parent #4
I expressed our true feeling that we thought that this was the best school for our child--I let the Admissions Director know that. (Note: You should only do that for your true, first choice.)

Parent #5
I spoke to a lot of parents with children attending the school and asked them to put a good word for our family. Wrote a very detailed letter to the admissions director on reasons why we wanted that school. We were very clear at pointing out to him that we did not want a Plan B and that the FAIS program was our number 1 choice.
