Advice from Parents to Prospective Parents on Admissions
Parent #1
Apply Early
Parent #2
Once enrollment began I called in 2 weeks to inquire RE: our position on the waitlist. I also wrote a letter as to why I wanted our family to be involved with this school.
Parent #3
I think the admissions process was fair and open.
Parent #4
Regularly attended events during the year prior to admission.
Parent #5
We attended many open house events, got to know parents who were sending their kids already, and expressed a strong interest in going to Laurel Hill and getting involved by calling the admissions chair regularly (but not obsessively).
Parent #6
Got on the list early enough...
Parent #7
I applied in good time. They say they admit by a first-come-first-serve policy. But I've also known parents who get in after school starts, so hang in there.
Parent #8
Sign up early! (duh!)
Parent #9
The truth is I was a friend of a board member who knew I would be an active parent and very involved in the school without being obnoxious.
