Parents' Comments
Parent #1
A false sense of love and care for the children is provided in initial contact that is not displayed in the daily care provided. There is no communication (written or oral) of child development nor a willingness to communication when prompted. Activities are not as advertised--"Nature Walk" is strapping kids into the stroller around the concrete parking lot or teachers sitting watch kids strapped into the stroller with no activities; Water play includes teachers hosing down the concrete walkway while toddlers play in the puddles with just their bare hands. Inadequate facilities results in kids being placed in booster seats directly on the floor in the corner of the room where visibility of and by the children is very limited. There is a complete lack of effort in recognizing and managing individualality of children (i.e. kids that do not naturally join group activities are left alone without supervision and without any engagement or guidance from the teachers). All in all CCS lacks some foundations of child care and development.

Being Savvy Today
My Year of Giving Thanks
A year is such a strange thing. It's hard to define, other than to say that it's (generally) 365 days long, or to assign some notion of time to it. Yet, the truth is, so much happens in a year that all those events and experiences seem enough for
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
