This is a locked-down community not warm and inviting for the parents, but the education is great. I do feel they are missing a crucial component: developing a community including the students' parents.

We have to take it upon ourselves to meet the parents. The school does not encourage or make it easy to meet other parents. They will place birthday invites into challenger bag if asked, but it is not really encouraged. But we are making progress.

There are a few of us that are planning to do that. I have started getting emails and we are going to take that upon ourselves to create a classroom home school connection beyond the 4 walls of the classroom.
