Home-School Connection
Director's Comments
StarChild Academy encourages frequent communications between the school and the families that we serve. The channels of communication in place are listed below:
â? StarChild Academyâ??s web site at StarChildAcademy.com includes information on our curriculum programs, classroom schedules, extra-curricular activities, field trips, weekly menus, our Parentâ??s Night Out program, our free Internet video service, school policies & procedures, tuition rates, careers, and even franchise opportunities.
â? StarChild Academyâ??s monthly newsletter includes information on topics such as this monthâ??s curriculum, extra-curricular activities, our free Internet video service, our Parentâ??s Night Out program, and upcoming holidays.
â? We encourage parents to speak with their childâ??s morning teacher when dropping off their child.
â? Our free Internet video service allows parents to watch their children all day long in their classroom, the dining room, and their playground.
â? Each classroom at StarChild Academy has a telephone allowing parents to call and speak with their childâ??s teacher.
â? StarChild Academy provides daily reports to parents for their children in our full-time Infant through Pre-K programs. Attached to these reports are your childâ??s class work, art work, and homework assignments so that you know what your child is learning at school. Weekly reports are provided for our Half-Day Preschool and Pre-K children.
â? We encourage parents to speak with their childâ??s afternoon teacher when picking up their child.
â? Parent/teacher conferences are available to parents to discuss your childâ??s progress at StarChild Academy.
â? The owner and the director are available at the Front Desk to answer any questions or address any concerns that you may have.
Your Satisfaction:
We want your familyâ??s experience at StarChild Academy to be positive and will work hard to achieve your satisfaction. If you are not completely pleased with any part of our program, we encourage you to speak with your childâ??s teacher, one of our directors, or one of the owners. We will do everything possible to address any issues of concern
Separation
Beginning of the year separation is handled through:
- Pre-entry meetings with parents at school
- Extra staff dedicated to handle separation
- Parents in classroom early on

Being Savvy Today
On My Own
We met up with my father for a weekend in Grayton Beach, Florida . It was too short as the girls don't see nearly enough of their grandparents, but we packed it full of fun. We spent our last day on the beach

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
