The child and parent may visit the school several times prior to the start of school. Extra staff is on hand to assist children with separation issues.

Although the school does not have a specific parent board, many parents form friendships during the drop off and pick up periods. The school also invites parents to join in bible study sessions that Pasadena Nazarene Church has with free day care for siblings on Tuesday mornings.

Sunrise is not a parent participation pre-school by design. However, it does many things well.
