Parents' Comments
Parent #1
In addition to a home visit by the teacher before school started, the children and teachers in the class have a group visit to each child's home during the school year.
Parent #2
The Dillon Center has observation rooms, where parents can observe the pre-school classes at any time.
Parent #3
This school makes an effort to make a connection between home and school by posting pictures of everyone's family on the walls year round, and by making home visits where all of the children visit each other's homes.
Parent #4
I wouldn't say that Bean Sprouts encourages parents to drop in at any time, but they certainly don't discourage it and have welcomed me when I've expressed a desire to participate in certain class activities.
Parent #5
It is unfair to other children when another parent comes by. Where's my mommy? It would be lovely to have a monthly open house with parent participation but the rooms are so cramped as it is that would be really awkward and uncomfortable.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
