Director's Comments
"In an effort to establish positive beginnings, our teachers make home visits to the children shortly before the start of school. We are sensitive to the need for gradual separation between young children and their parents during the early weeks of school." My son came to Central Synagogue on his 3rd year of nursery school-so the elaborate separation and short days was very frustrating for him. He was used to going to school and was ready to start. It took him longer to get to the school then the class was in session for the first 3 weeks of school!!! He was in a special program so they took time with the parents to go over what they could do for him, how he was learning, and what we could do to help him He was supposed to be in a two year program, but graduated before his class.
