Many private schools are for certain type of child. Usually with guidance the parent picks the right school.

Parents' Comments
Parent #1
I'm not encouraged to drop in, but I'm not discouraged, either.
Parent #2
There is very little interaction between families at Chatham. There are only two school events, one during the holiday season, and one at the end of the year. The school does not communicate effectively with the families.
Parent #3
The initial adjustment period at the beginning of the school year is not handled well due to a large number of children to staff available. I was never sure if anyone would attend to my crying child. I felt like the environment was chaotic and disorganized.
Parent Community
| COHESIVENESS RATING (1.7) |
Parents:
- Are able to visit the school anytime we want
- Receive newsletters

Parents' Comments
Parent #1
I would not say the school 'invites' parents to communicate with the teacher. It is up to the parent to find a suitable way.
Parent #2
None
Parent #3
Director and teachers on hand during my visits, always willing to chat

The Wild Tangle of Grasses
If there was a single photo that could capture my feelings and thoughts about the past year, this would be it. It reminds me to keep looking toward the brightness of the light, even if I am caught in the wild tangle of grasses. This shot reminds me that
Montessori? Waldorf? Play-based?
What school type is right for your child? Is one model better than another? What does the research say?

Today's “Preschool’s Out” Activity
Trace around your child's foot, with shoe on, on a piece of white construction paper or card stock. Have child cut out the shoe print and add a spooky face. Glue it to a popsicle stick and you have a ghost stick puppet!
