Director's Comments
Most children experience separation anxiety. We advise parents to talk to their children openly and confidently before bringing their child the first day of school. We reccomend bringing their child to the center before school starts to help them feel familiar with the enviroment. We also have the parent leave with a hug and a kiss and head directly out the door! We are experienced in helping children through the first few days of school and will take good care of them. We continue to encourage the parent to be confident and reassure their child that they are loved. A lingering parent usually makes the seperation anxiety last longer. Some children respond to praise and rewards for smooth drop offs. Always feel free to call the center to check on your child.
