Director's Comments
Ideally, parents and teachers are partners in a child's educational process. To this end a close relationship with the teachers is encouraged. This begins with paretns and teachers working together to ease the child's adjustment to school and continues with daily exchanges, parent visits to the classroom, parent participation in school projects and trips, and scheduled parent-teacher conferences. Each family is expected to attend school meetings, to contribute time and energy to maintaining and improving the school, and to participate in fund raising. Two parents serve on the school's supervisory board.
Parent colunteers may elect to work as staff assistants in the Morning Session once a week. This provides an unique opportunity for the parent to share in the child's nursery school experience and to observe other three and four year olds. This also lowers tuition by one fifth of the Morning Session fee.
Parents' Comments
Parent #1
The school is, in general, a very warm environment where parents feel welcome whenever we are there. Because of that, the lines of communication between the director, the teachers, and the parents is very open. I have never felt like I couldn't pop in to talk to them about the school or about my child specifically.

As a cooperative preschool, parents are encouraged to get as involved as possible and teachers welcome us in the classroom. Parents can also "work" in the classroom once a week for reduced tuition.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
