Director's Comments
We encourage parents to visit the school with their child before the school year begins. After school begins teachers support and encourage the children during their transition. If there are problems, the teachers communicate with parents to develop the best way to help the child.

The director has a newsletter every morning and she emails the parents every evening to let everyone know what the kids learned that day, therefore when we get home with our kids we know how to use what they have learned that day and use it at home.
Parent #2
I requested an at home visit with the teacher at the start of the year. The visit was scheduled by the teacher and then cancelled by the director, without an explanation. I also found the director of the school to be lacking in communication skills.
Parent #3
I participated in a school event with another parents. We set up the morning's activity. It was great fun for the kids and very memorable for us. It was a much more 'real' was to participate.
Parent #4
Director and parent volunteers post messages and photos on a school blog several times a week. School is new and director seems to be receptive to parent input, hopefully regular parent-teacher conferences can be scheduled in the future.

Parent #6
The school is not interested in building a community, and while my child had no problem with separation anxiety, others did and no extra staff was available to help them.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
