We encourage the parents and child to visit our school before they enter. Parents are welcome to accompany their child to school and stay for a short while the first few days of school. Parents are welcome to call and inquire about their child at anytime. Child is encouraged to bring a favorite stuffed toy from home or a picture of their family if they wish. Another opportunity to visit the school early on is to attend the Spring Fling in May of every year.

Skyline Preschool has a very welcoming environment. Parents are welcome to help in the classroom and are encouraged to participate with all the many activities the school offers to the children. There are many field trips and classroom events. We receive a monthly newsletter that gives the day by day activities, as well as the birthdays of the month and any special events occurring. All the parents are friendly and easy to talk to. And the school helps new parents by having a beginning of the year potluck get together, held at the school.

Skyline is a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Most of us parents are VERY down to earth and involved with our children and their school activities. I feel very good about it.

My daughter absolutely LOVES Skyline Preschool and her teachers, friends, and their families (as does her little brother who will start in Fall 2006, and her parents)! The teachers do a tremendous job with the kids, teaching them a broad range of concepts and basics through creative play and exercises. They also offer other enrichment programs, such as dance, Spanish, and a summer soccer camp (put on by 'dad' volunteers). The families have all been friendly, warm, and genuine both this year and last, creating a nice preschool community. I highly recommend SPS to anyone looking for a high-quality and personal preschool experience for their child.

Parents have established a yahoo group website.

The school staff are very attentive and nurturing, and attuned to children's individual needs. Although extra staff are not present for transition, the experience of this staff allows them to have one staff float and spend time with an individual child as needed. They have been amazing in being able to engage children who are afraid, teary, sad, etc.
Parent #6
While not forbidden, parent visits during naptime are not encouraged.

Skyline Preschool teachers are open to parent communication about their child. They offer a parent/teacher conference once per year with a formal schedule, but also invite parents to schedule one at anytime if necessary.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
