Director's Comments
Parents are encouraged to bring children before the start of school to feel comfortable. They also spend a short time in the classroom during the first week of school, but don't linger for long.

Audubon is fantastic in the way it includes the pre school with all the other classes and events going on at school such as Holiday performances and other events. Audubon and its staff treats you so well. They all know who you are and your children. You can see and feel how much the pre school teachers love what they are doing. The kids are treated so well and with individual attention.

Our son attended Audubon TB Pre-K for two years. It was truly a special experience. He learned quite a bit, academicaly and socially, and was not just comfortable there, but loved it there. We were grateful for the warm environment, the wonderful, patient and dedicated teachers and the camaraderie. We could not have asked for a better program.

My daughter started preschool mid year, Jan 2007. We didn't go to a formal open house/meeting per say. However, parents of incoming students are required to meet with the principal and take a school tour. Also, I attended an Aududon parent forum held at the school which the parents learned more of the school and all that it offers. Since my daughter started mid year, I wasn't given a specific learning goal summary for my child. However, I have daily contact with my child's preschool teacher as to her development, socially and educationally...continous feedback on how my child is doing on a day to day basis. I am not familiar with preschool separation through the school. My daughter had a moderate separation anxiety going to a new school with new teachers and friends. However, with the help of the teachers and assistants making her feel welcome and at ease, my daughter is doing well now. The preschool teachers and assistants are wonderful, caring, and patient.

We have had such a great experience with Audubon's preschool. As excited as I am for our daugter to begin the next part of her education in Kindergarten next year, I am truly sad to leave the teachers she has been with for the last 3 years. They are so dedicated and loving to the children. They are always greeted with a warm good morning and almost always a great big hug.

A Great Book Rhymes!
Kids are a funny bunch. They are often loath to change and anything new. But still, our little ones are open to so much -- and so much more than we more ossified parents are! Think of poetry: preschoolers happily read and repeat poems with ease and
